Welcoming Our Summer Clerks
Tags: Summer Clerks
Brick Gentry, P.C. is so happy to welcome the following to our 2026 Summer Clerks program. We are pleased to have them introduce themselves:
Dyer Jarabek
My name is Dyer Jarabek. I grew up in Des Moines and attended Dowling Catholic High School. I then went to Drake University for undergrad, where I majored in Education and English, and I chose to stay at Drake for law school. I also ran track at Drake for five years, including a fifth year during my first year of law school. I am a member of Drake's Ag Law Journal and recently had my Note on carbon pipelines and eminent domain selected for publication. In my free time, I enjoy running, reading, and playing guitar. I am particularly interested in litigation, family law, juvenile law, and criminal law, but I value gaining experience across a wide range of practice areas.
Brock Nichols
Howdy, my name is Brock Nichols, and I am from Blanco, Texas, a small town about an hour north of San Antonio. I obtained my bachelor's degree in animal science from Texas A&M University. My interest in the agricultural industry, coming from my experience raising and showing market steers, as well as my undergraduate studies, led me to attend Drake University Law School. As I enter my 3L next fall, I look forward to serving as President of the Drake Agricultural and Environmental Law Association and attending my third American Agricultural Law Association Symposium. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my dog, Ozzy, and watching professional and collegiate sports.
Kendall Antle
Greetings! My name is Kendall Antle. I’m equally excited as I am honored to be joining the Brick Gentry, P.C. Team this summer! I grew up in Alleman, Iowa—having graduated from North Polk High School. I graduated from Grand View University (“GVU”) with a B.S. in Biochemistry and a B.A. in Biology (minors in Chemistry and Spanish). I met and wed my wife, Haley, at GVU. We live in Bondurant, IA. Prior to law school, I had been in the workforce since 2018. I lived in Washington, D.C. for one year, interning at the Embassy of Israel (Economic Division) and for Senator Chuck Grassley. I returned home and spent the next three years as a Project Manager for Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate. I worked the remainder of that time at the Iowa Association of Business and Industry as its Foundation Programs & Engagement Coordinator. I am a senior member on the Moot Court Board, and I serve as the Associate Editor for the Drake Journal of Agricultural Law. My student Note on the Corporate Transparency Act’s impact on agriculture was recently selected for publication. In addition to law school, I’m also pursuing my master’s degree in public administration. I’m interested in intellectual property law, corporate governance/subsidiary management, and other types of transactional work. One goal of mine this summer is to gain exposure to as many different areas of legal practice as possible.
Jadie Harvey
My name is Jaide Harvey, and I am originally from Corydon, Iowa. I attended the University of Iowa for undergrad and obtained a degree in Criminology, Law, and Justice. I am a rising 3L at Drake University Law School, where I’m a member of the ABA National Moot Court Team and an Associate Editor of the Drake Law Review. In my free time, I enjoy attending concerts, spending time outdoors, and reading.
Riley Stone
My name is Riley Stone. I grew up in Des Moines and Stuart, IA. I attended Iowa State University with an undergraduate degree in Political Science in May of 2017. After undergrad, I had my two beautiful daughters (7 and 5) and worked as a paralegal while obtaining my MBA through Northwest Missouri State University. I am currently a student attorney at the Drake Legal Clinic in the Children’s Rights Clinic under Nickole Miller. In my free time I hang out with my girls, play with my dogs Beau and Belly, read, and binge a good show. I have skill in litigation, family law, and various business/transactional areas. I am, however, interested in a very broad range of topics and always willing to jump in on any area.
Samuel Province
My name is Samuel Province, and I'm a 2L at Drake University Law School from Lincoln, Nebraska. I received my BA in English Literature from Doane University, where I sang in the choir and acted in plays and musicals before coming to Drake. The Journal of Agricultural Law has been a highlight of my time at Drake, where I've met some of my closest friends, done some of my most meaningful work, and will serve as a Note Editor during my 3L year. I was honored to have my note analyzing "Right to Garden" legislation chosen for publication. In my spare time, I love reading, writing, running, and hiking in Colorado. I'm looking forward to making the most out of my summer!
Sam Hughes
My name is Sam Hughes. I grew up in Des Moines, IA, and attended the University of Iowa, where I earned an undergraduate degree in Business Marketing. Following undergrad, I enrolled in the University of Iowa College of Law and will start my 2L year after this summer. My business background has naturally drawn me toward corporate law, though I am eager to explore a broad range of practice areas, including real estate, trust & estates, and any other opportunities the firm has to offer. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, golfing, playing basketball, and rooting for the Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers.
Alexander Aviles
My name is Alexander Aviles, and I am from Waukee, Iowa. I graduated from Dowling Catholic High School in 2025. I am currently a second-year student at the University of Iowa pursuing my undergraduate degree in History on the Pre-Law track. I love spending time with my family and friends, going for walks around my neighborhood and campus, attending talks at Hancher Auditorium, and participating in Speech and Debate. I look forward to working at Brick Gentry and expanding my legal knowledge.
