Paul was born in Early, Iowa and grew up in Carroll, Iowa. Paul joined Brick Gentry P.C. in December of 2002.
Paul Drey’s practice centers primarily around healthcare law and business law. Paul represents a number of physician groups, Iowa companies and businesses and municipal utilities.
Paul is active in the Federal Bar Association Iowa Chapter serving as Treasurer, and will become President of the chapter the fall of 2007. Paul is also active in the Health Law and Real Estate Sections of the American Bar Association, the Iowa State Bar Association, Polk County Bar Association and a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute.
Outside the practice of law, Paul enjoys spending time with his wife, Stephanie, as well as his two sons, Joe and Jack. Paul is also very involved in serving on non-profit boards, and is currently the Chair of the House of Mercy Foundation, Vice President of the ALS Association, Board Member of the Holy Family School Foundation, and an Honorary Board Member for Mentor Iowa and Rebuilding Together. Paul is the President of the Notre Dame Club of Des Moines, and a double domer – graduating from the University of Notre Dame with his B.A. in 1989 and from the Notre Dame Law School with his J.D. in 1992. Paul is active in his parish at St. Francis. Paul is also spokesman for and part of the ownership group of the new NBA Development League franchise in Des Moines, the Iowa Energy.
