Matt Brick’s practice is divided between municipal and employment law. He defends employers and public entities in employment-related litigation on a wide variety of statutory and common law claims, as well as advising clients on employee discipline, employment policies and contracts. In addition, Matt handles employment-related litigation on a variety of statutory and common-law claims in state and federal court, in arbitration and mediation, as well as before administrative agencies.
Matt is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, the United States Courts of Appeal for the Fifth and Eighth Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court. Matt’s major clients include the cities of Atlantic, Dexter and Huxley, the National Electrical Contractors Association and Omaha Cold Storage.
Outside of work, Matt is interested in politics and is a former Windsor Heights Councilman, who received the 2003 Iowa League of Cities Outstanding Young Council Member Award.
